This Privacy Policy applies to the Elite Gamer Insights Price Checker browser extension (the "Extension"). The Extension is engineered to perform a single, focused utility: providing gamers with real-time price comparisons and store stock availability across digital gaming retailers (including Steam, CDKeys, and Amazon).

In compliance with the Google Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies, we explicitly declare that our Extension:

• Does NOT collect Personally Identifiable Information (PII): We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, home addresses, or demographic data.
• Does NOT access Account Credentials: No user accounts, passwords, payment details, or store login tokens are ever accessed, inspected, or transmitted.
• Does NOT collect or track Browsing History: The Extension does not monitor or log the websites you visit. It activates exclusively when you navigate to supported video game product pages.
• Does NOT capture Keystrokes or Clipboard data: Form fields, search bars, inputs, and clipboard buffers are never read or stored.
• Does NOT use Fingerprinting or Tracking Cookies: We do not track users across sessions or websites, nor do we construct browser or device fingerprints.

3. How the Extension Functions & Data Transmission

When you view a game product page on a supported store (such as Steam):

1. Public Store Identifier: The Extension reads only the public game App ID or store URL from the browser's active tab (for example, Steam App ID 1245620 for Elden Ring).
2. Secure Price Query: An encrypted HTTPS request is made to our pricing API to retrieve current deals and retailer links for that game. No user identifier, user account, or profile data is transmitted.
3. Transient Server Connection Logs: As with standard internet protocols, our web server receives standard technical transmission metadata (IP address, user-agent, timestamp) to route the response and enforce rate limits against automated denial-of-service abuse. These technical logs are not tied to individual identities and are routinely purged.

4. Local Browser Storage

The Extension may utilize Chrome's local storage API (chrome.storage.local) exclusively on your local computer to retain non-sensitive client preferences (e.g., light/dark theme preference or preferred currency) and transient price cache to minimize duplicate network requests. This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time by uninstalling the Extension.

• Zero Advertisements: The Extension does not contain advertising banners, tracking pixels, or sponsored popups.
• Zero Third-Party Telemetry: We do not embed external tracking libraries, Google Analytics, or marketing SDKs.
• No Data Selling or Sharing: We do not sell, rent, license, or monetize any user data to brokers, advertising networks, or third parties under any circumstances.

• CCPA / CPRA: We do not sell or share personal information. We do not maintain records that can identify or link back to individual consumers.
